We have started harvesting almonds on our farm. The skin is dry and open almost in 100% of the trees. We foresee a good harvest, although some trees were affected by late frost that came in May.
This work is done by hand to avoid damaging the trees, as in all work of this crop, as we seek to comply with organic farming regulations at all times. This will be the standard under which we will carry out the commercialization of the product.
The process that we have to carry out is laborious, since we will first pick the almonds and we will remove the skin afterwards. Subsequently, we will split them open to get the almond itself, then weigh, pack it and label the containers to be put on sale.
